Educators value the involvement and support of parents, guardians, families and communities in schools.
Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, it was not possible to involve parents/guardians and communities in schools. It was unfortunate but our world is moving and adapting to the pandemic and the changes it caused. However, I was able to involve parents through letters that were sent home and emails. I communicated through students’ journals and in-person with social distancing. There is a big difference between students whose parents are involved and the students whose parents are not as involved. As an educator, it makes me happy knowing that parents involve themselves in their children’s growth and development.
